If your still checking this and haven’t realized yet I’m not writing any more(excluding this one) So there won’t be anymore updates, BUT… this year(2008) I might be starting a new blog (I emphasize the might). It’ll probably on swimming again but we’ll just have to see.

This may seem a bit exagerrated for people who don’t swim alot but I just got 10 pb’s for this season which means I get a bronze medal from my club :D :mrgreen: ! Now, you might think “pfffft, 10 pb’s big deal :roll:but I’ve only been to 1 club night and 2 carnivals so I’ve got 2 in one and 4 in the other 2.In each one. Also this season has only been going for about 5 weeks. Anyway WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…..WOOHOO…..PUT THAT IN YA PIPE AND SMOKE IT.

This probably doesn’t matter to anyone but when I train I do it for an hour and fifteen minutes or an hour and half. And trust me, when you train as hard as I do that fifteen minutes is a lot of difference. 8) :P

  • 50 backstroke: 45.65
  • 100 backstroke: 1.32.43
  • 50 breaststroke: 52.45
  • 50 butterfly: 55.12
  • 100 individual medley: 1.41.89
  • 100 butterfly: 2.25.03

So there you go, those are my times.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! :D :P :D I’m in country squad now! For those of you who didn’t read my post about training levels Country is 1 level higher than Development (That was the one I used to be in). And also you need to work really hard and almost be too good for the one your in. But any way, I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY :mrgreen: :lol: :mrgreen:

Here are the levels of training that we have at my club.

  • Beginners
  • Development
  •  Country
  • Junior state
  • Senior state
  • Nationals

Me and my friend Rowan are in country (which is a lot harder than you probably think).  My other friend Mitch is in Junior state. I should also point out that you need to progress a lot to go up a squad. I’m not to sure what you do if you get to good for nationals…probably just hire a private coach or something.

For people who come to this site and don’t know a lot about swimming here are some slang words usually used in swimming (mostly for training)

  • 4 50’s: 4 laps of 50 metres (can be used for any distant or number of laps)
  • 30  break: 30 minutes rest after lap(s) (also used for any time amount)
  • Back: backstroke
  • Free:  freestyle
  • Fly: butterfly
  • turns: tumble turns
  • board:kick board
  • PB : Personal best

Those are just a few of the slang we swimmers use so hopefully you’ll pick up  some others by experience. ;) :P
